Exteel
My son and I tried Exteel tonight on Sygnons suggestion. The game was interesting. I am a little put off by the targeting system and the movement feels sloppy. It is interesting that you can buy your way to the unlockable weapons, but I was unable to figure out how much it costs (and whether it is worth it to me as a casual player) as I couldn't get on the NCSoft webpage to purchase them.
My son seems to enjoy it, then again anything new is fun to him at his age. The game could use some team based multiplay beyond team deathmatch and CTF. Perhaps it is there and I missed it. I may try it again later, but with all of the other games vying for my attention now-adays (TF2, L4D, GuildWars, etc) we shall see.
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 AAR
We had some early difficulties with Ubisoft sign-on again, but this time we were able to prevail. Hopefully this does't become a common occurance.
We pretty much mowed through the first few maps we did. As before with Wired Six and Valfour, Import/Export was a bit more difficult and required a few tries to master.
Valfour and I gained a rank and several skill advancements in the process.
All-in-all last night's Rainbox Six Vegas 2 session was a blast! Thanks to Kobolt, Zycroft, and Valfour for the fun night.
